Front entrance/foyer

I have a crazy idea for the front entrace/hallway.  I adore Sonia Rykiel's stripes and stripes in general so why not make this a colourful entrance into my living space.

Below are the horizontal stripes I will be painting on either one or all of the walls.  These are the signature stripes from Sonia Rykiel http://shop.soniarykiel.com/cadeaux/1023-canard-vibreur

Either I paint the long wall in stripes and the opposite wall in a solid ruby red with white baseboards or I paint all of the walls in the stripe.

Dilema, if I paint all walls in the stripe, do I leave the console in white or have it painted in black or red?
